Scott Kuhl Warning: I may have no idea what I am talking about!

I am a lifetime Linspire member, mostly because it was soo cheap when I bought it.  I have only installed it on two machines in the last 2 years.  Both times I never got everything on the machine to work (sound card and wireless).  And both times it ran very slow.  Granted I have never installed the current 5.0 version.

This following post seems to backup the same thing I found.  Has anyone else used Linspire?  What do you think of it?

From Could Desktop Linux Really Be So Slow?

What I got was shock and disbelief when the computer spent more than 2 minutes booting up and an additional minute to start the OpenOffice.org Word Processing application.

Now that I've seen OpenOffice.org on the Linux platform, I'm nearly convinced OO.o is even worse on the Linux platform but I'll need to run more detailed tests to confirm.
