RoboCopy GUII stumbled across this excellent utility enhancement in the latest issue of Microsoft's TechNet Magazine in an article by Joshua Hoffman. Robocopy, as I am sure many of you know, is a great utility for copying large amounts of data from one location to another. It is highly customizable and is especially adept at mirroring data from one place to another, including changes. However, the syntax is a beast. Enter a GUI interface that makes creating the proper command line arguments for Robocopy a snap. And once you have it just the way you want it you can save it to run at a later date. You can download it here from the TechNet Magazine website.

CopyRite XP is much better than Robocopy GUI IMO.
No DOT Net or install program. Just copy the EXE to the server and robocopy too and go.
The UI is much more user friendly than Robocopy GUI too.

Its good that now there is a GUI version of robocopy. It was horrible to use earlier. But why to use Robocopy in the first place itself! It does not provide multi threading file transfer, if it does also I dont see any considerable difference in time and It does not support long path name of file. So thats why I started to use GS Richcopy, this software is just awesome. It provides features like NTFS permissions, multi threaded file transfer, pre scheduled file transfer, email notification when task is done and many more. Try it maybe it could help you too!

Working on a command line seems quite tedious to me so I wanted a graphical interface which does not hang when copying huge files and provided long path name support. I thought I had to use different softwares for this job but I found that GS Richcopy does all that for you! It has long path name support, pre-scheduled file transfer, email notification when the transfer is complete and many more features. Try it maybe it can help you too!
