Looks like the adoption of Google's Chrome is dropping...

Google Chrome usage share has been dropping since its launch.

Check it out on Marketshare (http://marketshare.hitslink.com/report.aspx?sample=24&qprid=34&qpcustom=Chrome+0.2&qpsp=3531&qpnp=52&qptimeframe=D)

Yeah, this is a bad news, considering how good this browser is.

Well, here's one person who won't give it up.

I know you're "just an evangelist", but if you have any pull with the IE team (or know somebody who does), get them to look into a very very lightweight version of IE. The single biggest feature of Chrome that keeps me there is the fact that it loads blindingly fast.

And no, I don't consider pre-loading IE to be a valid workaround, either. Shame on anyone who suggests it. :p

Its still in Beta. What do you expect?

If anything it will help the IE team to get off their laurels and be more agile about their releases. I am sure the Beta is not the end.

Currently IE has the lead because its is what comes on windows by default. Most people fall into the 'good enough camp'. In the other half of the share the Enterprise market people do not have a choice of what is installed and intranet developers pssst ASP.NET developers are lazy.

I am an ASP.NET developer. Given the choice I rather be IE targeted. Because IE does not render the same as other browsers like Firefox. Its a lot of extra work to make sure your cross browser compliant. Guess who gets the blame for all that extra work. (IE)

Its going take ten years for you guys to live that down. Once IE 6 and IE 7 fall out of use then we can talk about superioty of IE8.
