Murray Gordon Flash a-ah! Savior of the universe...

I really enjoy the snippet features built into Visual Studio 2005. Though sometimes I would love to be able to edit some snippets in a lightweight memory and resource friendly snippet organizer.

I have finally found one I enjoy. This one is very lightweight. It has all the features I have been looking for.

I found a cool app called Code Warehouse from XCCA Software.

It was recommended by Scott Hanselmann.

You can download it from www.xcca.com

Here’s some screenshots

Here’s the main form.

You can also create bookmarks to commonly use snippets.

Snippets are stored as New Code Items

CodeWarehouse04

Code Items are stored in Categories

CodeWarehouse03

That’s about it. There are some other features, but these pretty much cover my needs for creating and managing code snippets in many different development lanuages.

Hope everyone finds it as helpful as I have.

Thanks,

Murray

p.s. Forgot the rub… It is $69.00, which I find a bit pricey, but it is a helpful tool.

Have you used that application? It's obvious that the base language for the site where you can download it, was Asia. Is it a solid application? I would love your feedback. Thanks, Murray
