  • Generation is under your control

  • Metadata is distinct

  • Generation is repeatable

  • Hand code is sacred

  • Quality equals manual applications

  • Payback on the 1st Project of at least 10%

  • Must be Simple

Mur - funny thing you mentioned that. NOt sure if you are familiar with LLBLGenPro or Deklarit - both are Code Generators/ORM Tools. Pretty close with the guys that make both of them and ORM is definitely something I get pretty impressed with. ALso, Kathleen Dollard wrote a book on Code Generation in .NET. HIGHLY recommended if you're in to the subject. I *may* have a book coming out that covers Code Generation and Creating/Manipulating Templates in VS2005 - I'll keep you posted.
