Frist of all, any of you who don't know much about me, I am a jazz pianist outside of work. With that said, I shall move on. Well, I just got off the phone with Dave Barduhn and he asked me to be the piano player in a trio backing the wonderful jazz vocalist Kevin Mahogany. Kevin Ma-frickin-hogany people!!! I'm ecstatic. I'm @#)*( ec-frickin-static here.

At the same time, I am deathly afraid. I'm afraid that when I take the stage to play with him my brain will explode in some sort of freakish runaway chemical reaction caused by released hormones that have never been known by man to even exist. I'm also afraid that when I take the stage, I might forget how to control my bowels and make a mess all over the piano. Then again, I might just shake his hand during rehearsal and end up humping his leg like a dog. You never know. Even if the worst case happens and I do hump his leg like a dog (which I have been known to do in the past, just ask Rory), I would be humping the leg of Kevin Ma-frickin-hogany and I'll take that over a fire hydrant any day of the year.

Hey, Jason! I'm fellow .NET developer in Portland, OR, and I play jazz bass in my spare time (you can see photos of me in action here: Where do you play? I'd like to come hear you (and maybe jam) sometime (I live right around the corner from Jimmy Mak's).

Hey Phil, great to meet you! Unfortunately I don't have a regular gig yet. The only close one I have coming up is the Kevin Mahogany gig mentioned above. It is out at the Mount Hood Community College Theater if you are interested in going. Seeing that it is Kevin Mahogany, it should be a great concert.
