The Wrecking Bawl Destructuring query language, one keyword at a time.
I now believe that anyone who is developing an ASP.Net application and is not in an extreme time crunch is crazy not to use Ajax. Posted on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 5:24 AM all tech stuff , general .Net stuff | Back to top

That's helpful...

It really depends. Ajax can be helpful. It can be overdone. Ajax is not a requirement. There are a lot of reasons and places to use Ajax in a project (server-side validation against a database, lots of postbacks to the server without a need to re-draw the screen, reduce ViewState, etc). But, there are also a lot of reasons and places to not use Ajax.

I think the important thing to remember.. It's a tool, not an end in and of itself.

I'm curious what the reasons are to not use Ajax, or in what places you wouldn't.
