AJAX Control Toolkit Controls Grayed Out - HOW TO FIX
Spent the weekend so far using the new release of Visual Studio 2008 and ASP.NET AJAX. More specifically, I have been using the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit. Adding the new controls to your VS2008 toolbox is a straight-forward process, but when I added them - at first everything was fine - but after a few hours they seemed to magically disappear. Trying to add them again didn't seem to do anything at all as nothing changed. Right-clicking on the VS2008 toolbox and selecting Show All actually did ......

Welcome .NET 3.5!
Along with Visual Studio 2008 becoming available for download off of MSDN - there are a whole slew of new products (some free) that are now available with this new release. A release of VS2008 also means that the RTM (or final) release of the .NET Framework 3.5 is out and available for download. It is important to note that if you install VS2008, that it will install the .NET Framework 3.5 for you, so you won't have to make this additional install. Visual Studio 2008 Released
You will now find that Microsoft has released Visual Studio 2008 on MSDN for certain subscribers. It will be there soon for everyone, but if you are a Volume User on MSDN, then you might not find it there yet (as of yesterday). I was pretty excited for this release. Once installed, I had to also install JetBrain's ReSharper and it requires you to do a command line install. Once the .msi for ReSharper is on your machine, you will have to use the following command to install it for VS2008. msiexec ......
