I just got my VS2005 CTP Nov 2005 disc in the mail and installed it yesterday. Today I tried pulling up an old project and creating a new project, but I found that there was nothing but the HTML controls showing up in my toolbox. I even tried a reset (right-click for this option) and that didn't work as well. Googling ... I found this solution and it worked:

You have to delete the toolbox.tbd file from %userprofile%\local settings\application data\microsoft\visualstudio\8.0\. Relaunch VS2005 and it will create a new and correct one for you and everything will be back to normal.
