Skype Browser Plug-In Breaks Excel Copy/Paste

Saturday, August 4, 2012 5:08 PM

Tonight I was working in Excel when I noticed I wasn’t able to copy/paste as usual. Normally, you can copy from one cell, select a range of sells, and Ctrl-V to paste the original value into the selected range. That was broken, I couldn’t do it. I had to paste individually into every cell.

Odd. So I hit the internet. In a nutshell (and no, I have no explanation for this), you have to disable the Skype “Click to Call” browser plug-in *in all of your browsers that have it* to re-enable proper copy/paste in Excel.

Definition of ridiculous.
