So you may remember that I was posting my workouts here on my GWB blog before moving it to the Mad Mexican Chicken Wing Workout blog, and for those that haven't been keeping up with my body sculpting regiment let me say that I am looking and feeling quite svelte. Oh yeah ladies, Big Pappa is in the hizz-ouse!
Almost.
You see, like many men out there, I'm struggling with one area that affects so many of our gender: the belly...the gut...the rotund stomach area. Now, mine is not AS rotund as it used to be, but my ripped and sculpted 6 pack is lying underneath this blanket of cellulite just screaming out "SHOW ME TO THE WORLD!"
So I'm calling October Lose Your Gut Month, and I'm issuing a challange to all geeks everywhere to join in. Here's how it works:
Every Wednesday measure your gut...morning is the best time...and post your measurement (see facebook group link below).
For every other day, there are two simple rules:
1) No sugared soda. If possible, don't even drink diet stuff (water is best), but no sugary drinks at all
2) No chocolate bars. None...nada...zip.
3) You need to do at least 30 min of cardio activity a day. This could be walking, but for peak results you need to be doing something that raises your heart rate for more than 20 minutes.
Now the disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, I'm not suggesting people who have health problems jump on this with reckless abaondon...but I think if we band together as geek brothers we can increase the average life of our collective profession.
I've also set up a group on Facebook for us to post our progress and share what things have and haven't worked.
