I need a new PDA

Tuesday, November 28, 2006 11:45 AM

My PDA is dead. Not dead-dead...just battery dead. Which sucks...because I usually am really good at keeping it charged, and recharging it when its low...y'know, so that I don't lose all my information on it that I never back up because I'm so good at always charging it.

Well now all that info is gone. It's actually just one file that I really needed. And, if I was smarter, I would have at least moved it to the temporary storage device. But oh no...not me...because I always remember to recharge the bloody thing.

So anyway...now all my DNN and WH4L passwords will need to be re-discovered through some form of hypnosis as Samuel the Magnificent puts me to sleep and delves through the memories that have surrounded what my admin password for the Mad Mexican site.

Speaking of weird memories...I had the dream again last night. This time I knew what I was doing, but I was in a section by myself and the hostesses just kept seating people. Soon I had like 4 or 5 tables, and I was trying to get stuff out to the first few, but it just seemed like I was going in slow motion and eventually one of the tables got up to leave. When I went to apologize, the guy called me a witch-with-a-b (I think that has to do with my co-worker Eric calling me a "Cubicle B*tch" yesterday because I once again slapped a David Hassellhoff image as his desktop). So yeah...woke up again feeling like I hadn't slept at all.

It's snowing up here. Suprise surprise...its Manitoba and winter and its snowing. We actually went a long time without snow. Golf courses were open last week taking advantage of the warmer-than-normal temperatures. I feel good knowing that global warming will keep us warm while the west coast gets hit with snow storms. HA! Take that hippies!

Ok...funs over...back to work. I still need a new PDA though...I'd love a PDA phone that isn't the size of a brick...but, y'know, I live in Canada so we SUCK for getting kewl stuff. But I'm not bitter or anything. :\

We're sending our weather to you dude. Be ready with a PDA screen scraper once you get that bad boy charged up cause it's going to frost up like a woman's heart when you say 'rump'. 11/28/2006 12:36 PM | Donald Belcham

Where IS Canada? I didn't realize you were serious about living there in REAL LIFE. I just kind of thought it was like a D&D joke or something... 11/28/2006 12:51 PM | George

We've got some half-decent blackberries out on the east coast and they're not the size of a brick. Don't you have Rogers or Bell out your way? 11/28/2006 5:27 PM | Jason Row

I can't do a blackberry. I thought about it, but:

a) no wi-fi...on any of them.
b) no easy way to enter in notes or store files like Word or Excel and also edit said files
c) no touch-screen

Which means that I have limited choices in my provider (Rogers, with either a Palm Treo, which has b) and c) but no a), or a gawd-aweful looking HP all-in-one device) and the competition isn't much better (Starcom 6700 I like...although it is somewhat bulky...and I'd have to switch providers, which I'm not keen on).
