This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. The opinions expressed within are my own and should not be attributed to any other Individual, Company or the one I work for. I just happen to be a classic techie who is passionate about getting things to work as they should do (and are sometimes advertised and marketed as being able to?) and when I can I drop notes here to help others falling in to the same traps that I have fallen in to. If this has helped then please pass it on - if you feel that I have commented in error or disagree then please feel free to discuss with me either publically or privately? Cheers, Dave

Thin Clients, VDI and Linux integration from the front lines.... Raw and sometimes unedited notes based on my experiences with VMware, Thin Clients, Linux etc.

Well it was only a matter of time? Press Release here
I have said it before, and I'll say it again, Citrix's Marketing Team should take the biggest share of the plaudits for this. They have taken an SSL VPN product and hyped it to an almost unbelievable degree.

To give you an example of what I mean - I went to one Customer who was accessing Citrix thru an IPSEC VPN and they were having all sorts of issues (especially getting the Client end installed and working) and initially we were called in to adise and guide them regarding an AG+AAC. When we got right down to it - the main issue was the Citrix Servers were terribly unreliable, no one had looked at them in 18 months, Printer Drivers all over the shop, one server with failed Memory sitting shut down in the corner, etc.

They didn't need the AG, they just needed the System fixed - but the Marketing was getting through loud and clear?
