The opinions expressed within are my own and should not be attributed to any other Individual, Company or the one I work for. I just happen to be a classic techie who is passionate about getting things to work as they should do (and are sometimes advertised and marketed as being able to?) and when I can I drop notes here to help others falling in to the same traps that I have fallen in to. If this has helped then please pass it on - if you feel that I have commented in error or disagree then please feel free to discuss with me either publically or privately? Cheers, Dave

So this came in from MSMobiles this morning:

Later than promised by CEO of i-mate in an interview but at last it is here: ROM upgrade with push email (MSFP) for i-mate K-JAM (but not for other i-mate phones) and without support for A2DP (stereo audio over Bluetooth)

Latest Release details:

The main improvements from the original AKU 1 Operating System, 1.x.9.x, are:

Microsoft Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP):

  • Addition of the MSFP allowing Direct Push email, remote device wiping, security policy enforcement and Global Address List Lookup for customers using a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2.

Communication Manager:

  • Communication Manager has been updated to allow current data services to be stopped, Direct Push email to be started/stopped using a single button press, and flight mode to be switched on/off.

The download is available on several FTP servers of i-mate all over the world and also as HTTP download here.

Recommended procedure: please log-in to
club i-mate with your user name and download it yourself there!

So, I'm wondering how far away the update is for the C600? Can't be too far away now?

Comments on this post: So the release of MSFP and AKU2 for the C600 cannot be too far away?
