Richard Jackson to head-up business activities in the UK, Ireland and South Africa...

February 6, 2006: Access infrastructure specialist, Citrix, has appointed Richard Jackson as regional managing director.

In his new role based at Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, Jackson will manage a 60-strong team and focus on increasing sales of the Citrix solution suite in the UK, Ireland and South Africa.

Jackson has led the corporate sales team for the past seven years as director of major accounts. Prior to joining Citrix in 1999, Jackson spent 14 years working in the channel, which included starting and running his own company that later became a Citrix distributor. An IT veteran, his career in technology started at Logitech Distribution in 1985.

“Jackson has been a driving force towards creating profitability and long-term sustainable and renewable business for the company,” said Stefan Sjöström, managing director and vice-president at Citrix EMEA. “This appointment strengthens the well-established management team that exists within Citrix.”

“Citrix is renowned globally for its effective access management infrastructures, security proficiency and business continuity expertise, and I’m looking forward to leading the team to even greater success in taking ownership of this space,” commented Jackson.

“By building a successful and motivated team around him, Jackson has developed strong relationships between Citrix, its partners and customers,” said Sjöström. “Jackson’s knowledge of the market, coupled with his sales prowess and business acumen, makes him an excellent candidate to drive our sales in his regions,” he concluded.
