This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. The opinions expressed within are my own and should not be attributed to any other Individual, Company or the one I work for. I just happen to be a classic techie who is passionate about getting things to work as they should do (and are sometimes advertised and marketed as being able to?) and when I can I drop notes here to help others falling in to the same traps that I have fallen in to. If this has helped then please pass it on - if you feel that I have commented in error or disagree then please feel free to discuss with me either publically or privately? Cheers, Dave
Thin Clients, VDI and Linux integration from the front lines.... Raw and sometimes unedited notes based on my experiences with VMware, Thin Clients, Linux etc.

In a previous Post I stated the date for the release of Citrix Access Gateway 4.2 would be a week after iForum in Vegas - but that quite plainly didn't happen. It now appears that Citrix have settled on the 27th of November as the date for the release of the 4.2 code.

For anyone working on rolling out AG's and attendant AAC's you might want to at least prep your clients that there will be quite a change to the NAV UI (It's now going to be called the NAN UI???) and it changes from the Orange colours to something more in keeping with the branding of the WI 4 model in that it's white with a red line across the top.

It's also changing from being "tree or folder" looking to something that looks like it divides the page up in to 3 separate columns under the title banner, one for Published Apps, one for Shares, and another one that I can't remember ;-)

Anyway, the gist of this is that the User Interface will be changing, and from a non-Techie's point of view it will be drastic. So it's probably a good idea to go ahead and get your Pilot in and sorted - but only deployed to the IT Staff for another 5 weeks or so....

Good Luck
