While catching up on some of the new details that have come out while I've been away I came across this article about how Windows Mobile is clearly marking the convergence of the SmartPhone and PocketPC versions?
What is also interesting to note that it is actually possible to run the current Skype PocketPC Client on a Windows Mobile 5.0 powered SmartPhone, even though it needs accessing via the PC Controller to get past part of the UI. It would appear from these findings that Skype shouldn't have too much work to be able to deliver a working Skype Client for the SmartPhone?
It would also appear that the pressure will be on developers to go back over their best selling products and enable multiple pixel sized formats to accomodate the many differing formats and handsets?
Exciting times ahead?
