The opinions expressed within are my own and should not be attributed to any other Individual, Company or the one I work for. I just happen to be a classic techie who is passionate about getting things to work as they should do (and are sometimes advertised and marketed as being able to?) and when I can I drop notes here to help others falling in to the same traps that I have fallen in to. If this has helped then please pass it on - if you feel that I have commented in error or disagree then please feel free to discuss with me either publically or privately? Cheers, Dave

Thin Clients, VDI and Linux integration from the front lines.... Raw and sometimes unedited notes based on my experiences with VMware, Thin Clients, Linux etc.

Completely off topic in that it has nothing to do with technology, but......

  • Do not get put off by the temperatures - it is so dry that 38C in Luxor is comparable to 30C in London
  • Very Cheap - you can eat superbly in the 5 Star Hotels, having a 3 course dinner for less that £15
  • The food in the 5 star hotels is great - in some cases every bit as good as the top London Restraunts
  • We spent 4 days crusing on the "Nile Beauty" (5 Star Boat) - Fantastic!!

But back on topic......   while crusing the Nile between Aswan and Luxor I was getting 4 bars on the signal strength fom NilMobil, enabling me to check my emails on GMail and OWA as well as the footy results. Just from my experience the mobile coverage was very good
