This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. The opinions expressed within are my own and should not be attributed to any other Individual, Company or the one I work for. I just happen to be a classic techie who is passionate about getting things to work as they should do (and are sometimes advertised and marketed as being able to?) and when I can I drop notes here to help others falling in to the same traps that I have fallen in to. If this has helped then please pass it on - if you feel that I have commented in error or disagree then please feel free to discuss with me either publically or privately? Cheers, Dave
Thin Clients, VDI and Linux integration from the front lines.... Raw and sometimes unedited notes based on my experiences with VMware, Thin Clients, Linux etc.

Never underestimate the amount of information contained in the PowerPoints, have a look through the following selection and pay particular attention to the additional notes underneath each slide.

If you are lucky enough to be just using one PC and not bouncing around customers sites all the time then perhaps consider saving these files locally and then installing the Google Desktop so that you can include your local stash when searching for possible answers to your Citrix Issues?

Preferred Plus/ASC - Access Client Package (ACp) - Access Client Package.ppt!default.jspa?categoryID=283&externalID=CTX107384&fromSearchPage=true
This June 2005 presentation describes the Access Client Package (ACp), known before product launch as the Access Client for MetaFrame (ACM).
ACp (ACM) will allow the install and upgrade of all Access Suite Clients using a single deployment method.

•Single MSI package (Windows 32bit only)
•Web Downloadable
•Installs/Upgrades/Hot Fixes
•Single deployment for use with CPS, AGE and CPM
•Install/Upgrade one or all Citrix clients
•Supports multiple client deployment
•Multi Language support
•NOTE: Multiple versions of the Access Client package are not supported. If the client mix needs to change, remove the first package and add the second one.

If you are confused as to what version or type of Citrix Client you need, then it's worthwhile reviewing this, it gives a very clear idea of how Citrix are going to consolidate this area.
