My first visit to Microsoft Pakistan (a new office at Forum, Clifton, Karachi) went great, I met Vaqar the new ISV and DE there, the guy was very practical and reasonable in his evangelist approach. INETA Pakistan (I lead the Karachi Chapter) and Microsoft Pakistan covered a lot of ground, we tend to pool and share in each others resources and are going to hold coordinated events in Pakistan; Do I sound like the news castor from out state TV? Never mind, there’s interesting notes to all of ...
Today, INETA is officially two years old! It is hard to believe that INETA is two years old this month. When we launched INETA in February of 2002, .NET was fairly new and we came to the scene with about 40 user groups in our association. Today, we have close to 500 user groups and more than 170,000 members from all over the world that are part of INETA! Our growth is more than anyone ever imagined and outstanding as it is, it is also one of the most difficult things in managing INETA. More growth ...
That is the motto of Indy this week. The mayor has declared it - the people have listened. There was a traffic jam around the Dome yesterday afternoon as Colts staff handed out free posters and stickers. In the keynote for PDC ... FIRST DAY rockin! FROM ME: I feel like Dorothy and have landed in the land of OZ! Tons of people for the Bill Gates keynote with giant monitors all over the place. They started with showing us all the HALO PDC video which is a total riot. After that we got a little emotional clip about the history of Windows starting from the beginning. Bill Gates talked about this being a record PDC - more signups than any other PDC. Man, he is starting to age when you see him 20 feet ...
A a member of two INETA committees, I feel user groups are one of the most important entities to make developers the best they can be.  If you don't attend your local user group, you need to stop coding and head right over.  On the left bar of the Main Page for Geekswithblogs.net you will find a list of the next user group meetings with INETA speakers.
