AzamSharp Some day I will know everything. I hope that day never comes.
I don't know that if you have noticed but sometimes the events on the page are deleted automatically. Like code that was working fine will not work because non of the event handlers are attached. Does anyone knows what causes this and how to prevent this? Posted on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 1:04 PM | Back to top

That is pretty common bug with the designer in ASP.Net. the trick is to NEVER use the designer for web dev. You can configure VS.Net to always open a pages code behind when you double click it in the Solution Explorer.

Supposidly this has been fixed in 2005

I have also faced such problems before, most probably you are using two different editors (like VS.NET and Macromedia Dreamweaver) to work on a open aspx file (i mean open in both). In which case if you save a file in dreamweaver I have had instances where all the event handler code gets erased off in visual studio. Hope this helps.
